→ What is the difference between Therapy & Mentorship/Coaching? - While both therapy and mentorship are supportive spaces for personal growth, they serve very different purposes. We believe in complete transparency so you can choose the exact type of support that fits your needs:
Licensed Counseling (Therapy): Provided by a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC, NCC, EMDR Certified), therapy is a clinical space focused on diagnosing and treating mental health conditions, processing trauma, navigating grief, and supporting deep psychological healing. Services utilize clinical modalities such as EMDR, Person-Centered Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Interventions, Play Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy, and accepts certain insurance with sliding-scale options available.
Mentorship & Coaching: Our coaching is strictly non-clinical and educational. Our mentors and coaches focus on skill-building, independence, executive functioning, career and academic success, creative arts, hobbies, and personal goals. We work side-by-side as collaborative, peer-oriented guides helping you navigate everday life and build confidence at your own pace. We do not diagnose medical or mental health conditions, nor do we prescribe, recommend, or manage medications.
Please Note: Our mentors and coaches provide wonderful, warm guidance, accountability, and life skills support, but coaching does not replace medical care, psychotherapy, occupational therapy, or psychiatric treatment. If you are seeking clinical treatement or medical intervention we always encourage connecting with a licensed healthcare provider!
